Does anyone know where the majority of old skool Mazda rotary engined cars were sold? I\'m guessing a lot went on export to the USA but did any find their way to the UK or Europe in any decent numbers?

From what I know they did find their way to the U.K/EUR in decent numbers but....

SALT=DEATH

I expect the majority were crushed once the rot took hold.

The main reason would be that we stopped using salt on our roads  ;)

Also the old school cars have a cult following overthere so most have had the rust cut out and been restored. When I brought my first RX-3 there in 1995 it needed x2 new sills, a new boot floor, and a new bootlid! Still, can\'t complain when it cost be $1,000. Did it up and eventually sold it on.
A lot of old school cars are being imported into N.Z. from Oz now. Ones like the Mazda 1300 which we never got in N.Z.
RX-2\'s/616\'s were assembled near Wellington so we have plenty of those!

Would be nice to see some more early cars get put back on the road here!

Roger that!

Convinced I\'m gonna find an Rx2 hidden away in a barn someday..........yeah right, I should be so lucky!
