Hi,

I\'ve had a probem with this for a while - I\'ve got 235/45/17 8.5 in the front and 255/17/40 9.5 on the rear.

The car\'s not all that low but occasionally the tyre catches the arch.  This has resulted in quite a bad \'pull\' on the passengers side and some damage to the driver\'s side.

Seen as it\'s not slammed and they\'re not huge wheels could it be that the offsets are screwed or could the front suspension be too soft or what?

As I\'m pretty clueless, how would I check the offset?

Iain, if you have adjustable suspension raise it by 1cm. If you cant adjust it, you have a couple of choices.

1, Roll the arches
2, Have a couple of mm\'s removed from the wheel hub.
3, Get yourself some new rims. ;)

If I raised it any further it\'d look like a monster truck!

Guess I\'ll get it down to a suspension specialist befoer getting the bodywork sorted out.

Woaaahh that is pretty high to still be rubbing.

Did the wheels come with the car? are they the right offset etc?

Also i got a rubbing noise because some of the clips holding plastic inner arch had come off the front inner part so it hung down lower than it should do.

Actually that\'s a back wheel - the front is a touch lower.  Had a look last night and it\'s only got about 20 mm clearance when the car\'s on the level.

Wheels were on from Japan.

I think I\'m going to get the whole suspension looked at and poss get some custom bits in anyway before I get teh bodywork sorted out.

It only seems to run when turning and it\'s under compression.
