Yes but I don\'t really see the point in doing anything to the engine till it comes out of the car. Compression isn\'t too high but does start all the time and has around 65k miles on it hence wanting to rebuild before it blows itself and causes more damage. At that point it\'s street port, straight through exhaust etc. Haven\'t decided what to do with the turbo side of it as that will depend on funds Saving for a deposit on a house and rebuiding your car isn\'t easy on the wallet

Thats fair comment mate. If the engine is tired then avaoid pushing it untill you can re build it. Cant help you with the house. Have you concidered trisha  :rollin  :rollin ... sorry couldnt resist.

Definitely doing the rebuild myself with help from some friends (not the Beatles tho ), and get the porting done properly. I think I\'m going to stop even attempting to race anyone so the engine stays in one piece. Just give it the occasional blast to keep it clean. To be honest can\'t wait to take it apart  :wiggle

Ive yet to see ANYTHING touch it in the dry yet though, that includes DB9s, F355\'s, Skylines etc. Its seriously rapid!

Still a FWD yet to see one that is THAT quick, out of interest your mate with 340atw, what gearbox has he got? from what I understand the stock transmision wont take much more than 220, and how does he keep it in a straight line, all that torque stear?

TBH just thinking, I still have stock cat, cat in downpipe and no mapping and although I couldn\'t shake him we did get closer/further away when each of us shifted so come rebuild time I\'ll go find him again

TBH there are a few quick RS\'s about at the Mo, They have started putting Ford Ztec engines in with Gt30 Turbo\'s. So there are a few at 300hp in a car that weighs 1000kg??? somthing like that...

STD Gearboxes are C**p on Rs\'s but like anything you can have them built to handle the Power. The big thing they do is fit Launch/traction control which makes them quite quick in a line!!
