Hi,
Putting the Energy Suspension kit on the car but the L/H control arm ball joint has a small amount of play up and down, my feeling is it is knacked!

And with it being an S5 the whole arm needs replacing ££££££££!

Anyone got a spare?

ahh
it\'s the front front ali. control arm, not the part i was thinking about.
it\'s say\'s in my manual that the bushes and ball joint in the front control can be replaced by a specialist with special tools
sorry no idea who to recomend [i would try asking at my local garage to see where they would get in done]
sorry i can\'t help

i have just read a bit more in the Haynes manual and it say\'s"

remove the nuts that secure the balljoint to the control arm and seperate the ball joint from the arm. if stuck tap it off with a hammer.

next. if the dust boot is not installed on the new ball joint coat inside with lots of chassis gress, place alarge socket or piece of pipe with a dia. equal to that of the bootover the ball joint stud, clamp the joint and socket or pipe in a vice and tighten up untill the collar on the boot is seated"

it then talks about refitting
so i guess you can buy the ball joint from Mazda but check the bushes as you have the conrol arm removed
