Purchased early this week a stick on front number plate from Jono @ D\'sign Studio. arrived yesterday, packed and with clear instructions.
10 mins later its on the car, looking lurvley.
I going for a run over the weekend with the existing plate on (part blocking my intercooler) my Mazdaspeed A spec frontsplitter. will measure air intake temps. then i take it off and measure again, should see a drop of a few degrees C.
will post results next week with a pic or two
Cheers Jono (your a top man)

With a stock engine your barely going to see any difference from removing the numberplate I\'m afraid, I\'ve got an a-spec bumper and I took the plate off for a coupld of months last year and it barely changed, you will find that when youd cars got very hot in traffic etc the temps will drop quicker.

tbh anything would be better than what i\'ve got atm
its quite normal for me to see Air inlet temps of 30°C on a motorway run.
when i give some large it can shoot to 40°+ (been told to be v.careful with the right foot if over 35°C) heat soak in standing traffic is a nightmare, can take 2 miles @ 70mph before it drops from high 50°C back to sub 30°C
(Whilst i\'m waiting for it to drop all my mates have left me in a cloud of dust & exhaust fumes)
My HKS induction kit doesn\'t help, drawing hot air in from under the bonnet!
time to get my scissors and cardboard out, i feel a ducting job coming up for the weekend.
Got an ARC intercooler with ducting on its way so hopefully that should help some more.

mid 30\'s is my average temp I see on the intake. any sort of sustained right foot action and Im in the 40\'s reasonably quickly. Not sure what I plan on doing other than WI to combat it.

Hi Andy,

How much was the plate and is it legal (reflective backing)?

Cheers,
Jon
