Thought id post this here as you guys are way more knowledgable lol

Can you make your own turbo kit by buying the bits seperate or are they car specific?
Could you not just buy an intercooler, turbo and have a custom manifold built?
What else is envolved..
I know you`d need a new ecu.. lol

Thinking of adding one to a celica Gen 7.

cheers for any help here :)

ditto,   just need to make sure you get the right size turbo. Although if you find a second hand complete kit you can save money as the only thing that wears out is the turbo which you can have rebuilt.

If you buy it in bits and cant fabricate any bits and pieces you need you may spend more money on bits that you planned.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

yeah reckon the T3/4 the safest bet :P.
as for the pipe work can you not just have a exhaust place cut you the ruff piping u need and just attach them using clamps and flexy hose for the intercooler part? only air going through this anyways, that sounds the hardest part lol.. once u got the manifold n that should be straight forward :D

i wouldnt use steel for the ic pipe work, ally you should use,

this is true,i had to make a little plate that sits between the turbo and the manifold, the turbo was to close to the lower manifold.
