Ive just got to share this with all of you....
Im after spark plugs and rang the dealer in derby to ask a price.... the guy who answered the phone was mr i know everything and you know nothing....
I had taken my spark plugs out to make sure i bought the same ones the rex has been running on.... 7\'s leading 9\'s trailing....so this is what i asked for with regards to price..... this twonk of a bloke said they dont stock them (never thought for one min they would) and did i know that a rx7 is an import... DOH thanks for sharing that m8 i has no idea....then he just makes a price up off the top of his head 35 quid each without even checking to see if they can get them.... is this the best our mazda dealers can do..... the call was a joke from start to finish....

Still looking for spark lugs if anyone knows where to get 7\'s and 9\'s from....
If you can read this..............i\'m to slowwwwwwww  :3gears-rh

Mazda dealers, and dealers in general are pretty naff. I have had no good experiences with them, and i always get Mr \'patronising\' aswell. You just want to smash their face on the counter they are standing behind :rollin
Try reworx for the plugs mate

i had a similar thing happen to me when i had problems with my car. Went in to the local Mazda place and spoke to the guy behind the desk, but before i even opened my mouth i could see he wasnt going to take me seriously.
My car was having difficulty starting but once going it was fine. But before i could even finsh saying that and tell him more about the car, he came back with \'Will, it\'ll need a rebuild won\'t it, sonny\'..\'i\'ve been doing this for 25 years i should know\'...\'it\'s gonna cost you around 7k to get sorted, and thats if nothing else needs changing\'blar blar blar. I hadn\'t even told him how old it was or what had been done to it. So i told him what i thought of him and just left. A lady customer next to me was even a bit shocked at the level of customer service he gave me.

As it turned out he was right (git!!!), but it didnt cost anywhere near what he said and i\'ve never gone back there since.

Just a thought........... If you have taken the time to join the club [be it member or otherwise!] why did you not invest in a phone call to one of the vendors? Would have saved all that b###s#1te, thing is Mazdah main dealers are not exactly set up to serve us, I remember my one and only visit they came out to look and decided that if I could afford to run the bugger then I could pay what ever price they quoted.....not :3Confused

Hi John. The reason i went to the Mazda dealer is that it\'s only 400 yards from my house and at the time i wasnt really an active member of this club and didnt know to much. If i knew then what i know now, i\'d of given Geoff a call and got the job sorted out at Re Works a dam sight easier than i did. Is amazing what you learn from coming on to these sites :)
So to everyone on here... Thank you :)

what i did was go to gk ford..... in Mansfield they are now also mazda.....asked about spark plugs....now on there computer it said 6 and 8\'s........from reading posts on here that didnt sound right...so i came home after buying a oil filter for 6.20 and a sump plug for 1.38....got the parts no waiting for the postman.. jobs done....
After that i rang derby which is 17 miles from me.... because in my car after removing my old plugs them being 7\'s and 9\'s wanted to know as they are the biggest main dealer around here if they had them in stock..... and at the top of the post is the service i recieved....
Now i know not to use the derby main dealer but the local gk ford/mazda are fine when it comes to everyday run of the mill parts......

I used the main dealer cause they are just down the road from where I work.  And WGT are just over 150mile round trip.

Nedless to say, I have been to WGT 2x now!  :Giggle
