Right. Ive got the box out, clutch off and my spanking new 54mm socket on the end of the big nut.
A socket and bar at the other end and then try and undo.
All this does is undo the wrong end as you know the torque settings are different.
Then tryed to make a plat and bolt it to flywheel and engine to stop it rotating. All this did was bend the bolt.
I need to change the flywheel so I can put the new light one on and new paddle clutch.
Any Ideas and or a spare set of hands.
By the way the engine is still in the car, so is it best to do this with the engine out. If so I,ll put it all back together and leave it untill it blows

i used a trolly jack to lift/push the bar,(when i didnt have a car ramp)its hard when the engine is in the car and the car is on the floor,
very easy when its out,ask carl he\'s said some thing a while ago about doin it while the engine is in place

Thanks for your advice. I think I\'d already decided to return to origional.
Now i\'ve just got to put it back together before 20th May

Bent a piston engine valve in half midway. Push it through a gearbox bolthole such that it jams in the teeth of the ringgear on the flywheel. This will stop it from rotating. Wear safety glasses. I\'ve never had a problem but its better to be safe...
