Has anyone tried doing anything with the silly dangly fog light on UK spec first gens? Was thinking it might be possible to sacrifice a reverse light within one of the light clusters and put the fog light in its place.

can be done i suppose, i just brought some small fog lights and fitted them

You could use a reverse light, i was going to do it on mine, but thought i would keep it original,,  be aware that for MOT and legality purposes it has to be the RH side one and 21w..
