front door speakers in a fd

hi guys

when i got my car i never had speaker in the front doors i was thinking about fitting some what the size speaker do  i need to get and the back also had no speakers so might fit some there too ! when i mean back i mean on side by the rear leather seat

I\'m just part through fitting 17cm Alpine SPS-171A components. It\'s really the depth you have to watch as these needed one of the spacers that came with them.

There\'s a guide on here about installing speakers front and back and stereo...very useful! One of the reasons why I chose my speakers...I knew they\'d fit cos they were used in the guide

Managed to fit Diamond Audio Speakers in my doors.

Bit lucky in that they just give enough clearance for the window to wind down.

If you want to see pictures of me doing the adaptor rings let me know and I\'ll see if I can find them for the thread.

hi i am just about to fit speakers to my front doors like to see what adaptor rings u used

you can use a ring of mdf as a spacer but i cant remember the exact thickness as it will hit the window as said before.

I just used one of the brackets that came with my speakers, pushed it out enough.
