HI

As some of you may know I\'m in the process of refurbing my mazdaspeed mso1\'s, I thinkn I have cracked it anyway. I have three of the wheels appart and about half way through being done, I need to get the tyre off the last one before I can set about doing it,

Anyway, I know this is a relatively easy task but would anyone like me to take some photo\'s and create a "HOW TO" for splitting appart and cleaning/painting/polishing a set of split rims?

Don\'t know about your rims, but one thing I noticed when I refurbd mine last year....... there are 2 different sized nut & bolt used!!!! & I found out when I had 10 that wouldn\'t thread on the last rim!!!!! so I had to go through all the studs to double check them, took me fooooking hours to find them and finish the job!!!!

if you don\'t mind me asking do they have seals between the sections? or are they Bonded with sealer?

A "how to" of your wheel refurb with pics would be great

I did a how to a while back for another forum will dig out and post tmrw :)

Although Allstar is probably a proffesional so il leave it for now + it wasnt for split rims, just single piece

I\'ll do a how to then, the mazdaspeed rims are 2 piece so they don\'t require sealing as there is no where for air to escape, with a three piece rim you have 2 sections to the rim so it needs to be sealed to be air tight.

Jono, I don\'t know if they are 2 diffrent sizes everyone I have taken out I\'ve put the nut back on and put in a pot so I can garantee that I have not lost the nuts and bolts.

Try to keep the larger ones seperate as they are suposed to go throught the 2 plates on the revers of the rim!!! Found that out at the same time!!!There is only about 0.5mm differance between the small & large ones!!
