Dump Valve

Hi All
Just fitting my dump valve and was wandering if there is a specific place for the small vacum type hose to go to, or can it go to any vacum take off from the engine! If thats right at all!!!!

long as the take off sees positive and negative pressure will be fine

How can i tell that? Where is the normal take off point!

upper inlet manifold has several nipples on it..attatch dump valve hose to one of these and see if it opens and closes as u rev the car
