the mirrors wil fold in either direction, they may seem stiff but will move, if you fold them the bolts/screws are under the mirror, no need to remove any panels what so ever
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

Chris, let us know how you get on, I\'ve got the same issue!

Adriansturgess

Yes I had the same problem too and removed the inner door panel to no effect. I\'ll try again now.  :)
FD or not FD? that is the question.

spray a load of wd40  or something inm there,  they get seezed up from water getting in there.   took me ages to get mine off at the week end
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe

chris@yoco

right all sorted now!!

it easy all you have to do is push the mirror in or out to gain access to the screws and tighten if they are still loose undo the screws you have just tightened and you be able to remove the mirror itself the mirror will not come off complety as electric wire will still be attached let it hang when you have done this you will have access to the base plate tightened this and then refit mirror and tightened screws again and now you will have tight fitted mirrors

chris

good luck :wave  :wave

sorry, i`m being dumb, when you say push the mirror in or out, do you mean the glass or the whole unit?
thanks

Ricco_04

The whole unit will pivit 90 degrees ish inboard (excluding the collor where the bolts are) - like some card do for parking on narrow streets.
