When i fit my power FC to my 95 FD, will i be able to run it on its base map with the air pump disconnected and the cat removed until i can get it mapped. i am going to take it to WGT to have the mapping done, there the closest to where i live and heard they are pretty good!

Agreed, drive it but be careful with boost. Mine has decat, PFC, no air pump, and ARC airbox. I have now got datalogging on pretty much everything you can log. The base map took the knock levels high on anything over atmospheric at around 3000RPM, so keep off boost there particularly. It is also very rich on the over-run from 1200 - 2400 RPM, and lean on light load just under 2K. The good news is that it runs fine in the closed loop area (i.e around 2k -3k RPM, lightly loaded) So I would say try to keep it in the closed loop area as much as possible - you will probably also notice better fuel consumption!

Get it mapped and enjoy!

How about driving with the cat off, air pump connected and standard ecu on, will i be ok using it for a while?
