Quote from: 20B_boy2350lbs - whts it in out of interest? thats not much over 1050kg\'s...you have a nice old rotor?

It was in a 1984 RX-7, GSL-SE Transmission and Differential with Mickey Thompson street tires.

I did all the porting myself and got a lot of help from Judge Ito on the nopistons.com forum on the tuning. Now its in a 1977 Opel Kadett C Limousine. Much lighter car but still has the weak differential so I can\'t push my luck.

Had my old Turbo II dyno\'d at ReWorx on Monday 10th.

The new turbo is working really well.  I am 6 BHP down on the last turbo.  Had 384 at the wheels and now got 378 atw but i have 110 bhp more at 4000 rpm.  and more torque at 3500 rpm than i had with the old turbo at 5000 rpm.  320 lb max torque now and it pulls through 7500 rpm.  (remember its a FC not FD)

I have compared my graph to some of the 450 plus bhp monsters and i had 100 hp more at 4000 rpm!  The power for a street car is superb and it was great on the track at Brands.

The brakes wernt unfortunately but then the gravel stops you well!!! :2eek

Thanks to the ReWorx crew,  now lets see some good figures from the tripple! :Hammer

I will post the graph when i can be arsed to wire up the scanner

Oh,  by the way, that was without NOS,  I wasnt brave enough, any one wanna buy a complete NOS kit, with all the extras and safety bits you will need, progessive controller, purge kit and full bottle etc!
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

the graph,

the little flat spot at 4500 rpm is the water injection coming in,  i will adjust it so it comes in a little later i think.

Great figures there mate...well done..

Its very similar to mine up until the 5k as mine keeps going up but still very good results and sound engine you got there.

Have you done all the engine work yourself???? very impresive...

andyrose

damn fine graph you got there and some impressive figures
nice work

Cheers gents,
i ported and built the engine myself and its still the original TII block with the series 4 low comp rotors.  The FD block is a little better for power and big porting is easier due to the lower inlet manifold size.  When its due a rebuild i will do more porting as i now know more and have lots more metal to remove.

Ant,
Be good to see BHP v\'s boooooost :)  what is the spec of yer new turbo, you going to grace us with your presants @ the Essex meet?????

antnicuk

i dont have a boost map but you can have a look at the computer while you are there if your interested.
The turbo is Eds old GT35/40 (non roller bearing) so nothing special but good for the job, its nice having very little lag for a change,  i only used 3rd gear around brands, i didnt need 2nd which was nice.

When is the essex meet, if its the 20th, i\'m working a late shift which is a shame.

Will have a gander on the 25th :)  Shame you cant make the 20th think the idea is for an 8pm start.
