I was looking at this  ebay aucion for a Cosmo, and having had difficulty finding insurance for a Cosmo, I asked the seller who it was insured with. He said that it was with esco, who I know do do Cosmos, but he said it was as a "Nissan March 1300".

From Googling, the march appears to just be a Micra to all intents and purposes  Thus it is very cheap, even for an 18yr old like me, so it doesn\'t seem that likely. But this Cosmo is actually currently insured, which adds a bit of legitamacy. What does anyone think here? All a big mistake?

Thanks,

its probably quiet easy to get something thats not as discribed insured, but a big risk if you ever had an accident. Get it in writting from insurance compnay first.

sounds like a very bad idea to me ... insurance companies find it hard to pay out when a car is correctly insured ... let alone when a Rotary Coupe made by Mazda is insured as a homologation special Micra built by Nissan/March !

Personally its not worth the risk mate tesco\'s insure them as do heritage and norton the trouble is at 18yrs i don\'t think they will touch you to be honest but give them a bell you never know.

Hi Guys
I purchased a J C about a year ago at first I had trouble with insurance primarily as no companies had ever heard of a Cosmo eventualy I managed toget some from a broker in Brighton recommended by Jason who has a company called Super 7 the guy I purchased my Cosmo from, anyway that cost me about £465 market value. This year with renewal looming as usual I had to start checking around eventually I came across Aaon a Company in our magasine.Clive had arranged a deal with these people and to my great pleasure I got the Cosmo insured agreed value, with Clives help with  the valuation, for about £420,great,with a reasonable excess .So if you are  lucky enough to own one  of these fab cars try Aaon phone number in the back of our mag. If anyone can better this please let me know
