Having just fitted my new 18\'s to my FD I thought it would make sense to go and have my wheels alligned.  Especially after taking off my old wheels the tread on the front wheels were worn on the insides.

Its been really doing my head in trying to find someone recommended.  I really would of wanted to take it to that motorsport place in Daventry but they wanted £165!!   Now im sure they would have gone that extra mile to set it up properly but I had the \'track\' settings so I figured as long as the car was set to those measurements there couldnt really be anymore they could do - well not enough to justify the extra £60 and distance to drive.

I found this Wheel Allignment specialist in Bedford.  They were well recommended by some people on another forum, gave them a call and booked the car in.  The equipment they have looks very impressive, and they seemed to know what they were doing.  They spent about 90 mins on the car.

The settings were well out to begin with - for eg, the rear camber was -3.00, opposed to the -1.00 I wanted!

They achieved most of the settings - one setting on the front couldnt quite be reached as it was at its maximum adj but it wasnt far out.

The outcome?  Well seeing as the car was running such hard negative camber I didnt expect too much improvement in cornering - if anything a reduction.  But the car feels transformed - hard to explain - best way is this.  Before I didnt feel comfortable pushing it hard along country lanes - the car seemed to bump around a lot, almost feel unstable, tamlined quite a bit.  I put it down to the very stiff Tein set up I have.  But obviously not, on the way home I went via one of my favourite bits of road and was amazed at the difference!  The car just seemed planted, when I cornered it seemed to react a lot quicker.

So overall a good spend.  Cost was £90.  Below are some pictures. the last one are the settings - before and after.

The place who did it are called STS, as I said they are based in Bedford.  Cant remember the number - find it on yell.com though.
