might be a dumb question but when you run the apexi set up sequence should the car be fully warm or from cold when you do it??

couldnt find it in the online pdf etc

cheers

nikp

I did mine cold - when you\'ve finished the installation procedure, it\'ll be warm by that point!

and what setup sequence is this???

i just plugged mine in, didnt realise i had to run anything!!!

I wondered about this.  I did it from warm.  I figured that the unit would set itself up fully, then when you next start the car from cold it will richecn the mixture automatically, because it already knows the car and will know how much to richen by..

Trust me, it does make sense.

7ForLife - wow you are supposed to let the car tickover for bout 10-15 mins, then turn on the air con and bits to let it all get set up for the individual tickover and electrical settings.

Hmm, how is your tickover??  Smooth ??

Did mine from cold - after 30 minutes she was lovely and warm :-)

Did scare me with the idling all over the place though

i think i agree with you strange days.....

that was exactly along the lines of my thinking because obviously the car compensates anyway by revving higher from cold...

any pro\'s got an answer for us lot!?

Doh - done it again, wrong sign on :Hammer

The set up sequence has no effect on fuel mixture (thats the job of the fuel maps). All that is being adjusted is the BAC valve timing to set the correct RPM under different engine loads.
