[yep retard mode on round 305]Just wondered as i notice it mentioned on a fair few threads that you should keep coolant topped up with distilled water + coolant now on my orevious cars i must confess i always just used a healthy portion of coolant with tap water with no bad effects but i am wanting to treat my RX7 to all the best stuff so where can you get distilled water? (i dare you to say boil water lol)
Also is there a preferrable type of coolant to use?

My work produces distilled water so i have it on tap, i should start mail order!!!

Hi Si
do you have or know someone who has a room dehumidifier?
they produce distilled water(nearly)
alot of air conditioning systems produce it too, and like at my work it just runs away down a drain!

theres no such thing as a dumb question, only dumb answers;)

Hi Si,

Chemists always used to sell it .

If want good cooling system protection fill your system with
Anti Freeze and distilled water as this stops corrosion.
All the best Clive

Cheapest option is to collect the ice that forms on the sides of your freezer. This is effectively distilled water, but make sure that it doesn\'t have chips, peas etc sticking to it.
