heres a pic...i know its moved since i put the engine in.......what does it do?

also what are the essential maintainance type things i should do now its running? its a 13b NA. Ive changed the oil and filter, bled the coolant system etc.....Are there any proceedures for cleaning the fuel system out or anything? What about timing? i dont have any timing marks on the lower pulley cos ive removed them!
Also are there any modifications in terms of injectors that offer out of the box more power???

It\'s an index finger, pointer finger or forefinger and is the second digit of a human hand, located between the thumb and the middle finger. It is usually the most dexterous finger of a hand and is usually used to point to things (a direction, an object etc.), thus it is also called the pointer finger. It is also called the second finger, index, digitus secundus, or digitus II in anatomy. The middle finger was called the index finger in earlier times, since it was usually the longest digit and was therefore used to flip through index cards.

its a solenoid and the cap on the end is a filter

okey cokey, not too much of a prob there then.

Is there any way to adjust fuel pressure on these engines? And do you know of any mods in terms of injector sizing, boosting fuel pressure etc???

You can fit an aftermarket puel pressure reg. which will allow you to adjust that. As for the injectors, there are a couple of skools of thought on this.

Fit a bigger pump with afore mentioned FPR. This increases the fuel.

Replace the 850\'s (secondaries) with 1300\'s. Straight drop in, but have been known to cause issues.

Replace the 850\'s with a complete injector/fuel rail kit. The normal for these would be 1600cc injectors.

ok...which is your preference?
which injectors are the secondary rail? are they accessable without taking half the manifold apart?

Will an Rx7 run without the secondary rail? its just there are some injector wires that i cut off to remove the engine, that have now been re-connected with a chocolate block. The engine doesnt feel as powerfull as the last, even though the last had a leaking oil seal....

This engine was rebuilt around 10000 miles ago as well...

Steve, you will need to take the top half of the manifold off, then the secondaries are the outter pair.

I have replaced mine with the last option, 1600\'s, FRP and pump.

Why would you want to run without the secondaries? But I dont think it would last very long.

i dont want too......its just they may not be correctly connected...although it runs nice and smooth...

Ok so you take the top half of the manifold off...where can you get the gasket to reconnect it when im done? what are the best suppliers for those parts? Will any adjustble fuel pressure regulator do?

Steve

where can i get them from? what sort of power can i expect?
