ive been told that when you change from an auto to a manual box you have to change the looms,  i have looked at hte wireing dagrams, and i can only see 2 differences, is there a way around this or some were that i can get hold of then cheep as i was quated £350 for the 3 looms im supost to need??

Think your being conned at that price to be honest. Not sure what mods your running but if its a aftermarket ecu you should only need the speedo and reverse lamp wiring up. Get yourself some wire and a soldering iron it not hard to make a loom up just a bit time consuming. Once its made up wrap with tape and secure to the car with cable ties so it can\'t chaff

The electrics are do able for a novice so long as you have a basic understanding of how things work and know how to use a multimeter. Also are you planning to swap to a manual dash or leave the auto one in. Forgot to mention the neutral switch in the first post. Ideally you could do with someone local to advise you as its much easier if you can see the car but if you give it a go and get stuck drop me a email.
