On a serious note though Carl Thanks for a great weekend whens the next mini meet and i\'ve sent a email of thanks to the editor of retrocar. That guy was a credit to there team.

Hi Kev,
not sure about the next mini meet! You guys will have to make some suggestions.
I am going to phone Retrocar tomorrow and tell them that the reporter Marc Stretton was indeed very much appreciated at the meet,he seemed to be really enthusiastic about the cars and people.

Many thanks for a great day Carl, it was nice to put a face to some of the names from the forum. As for the cars all I can say is that I came away with a wish list that my pockets could not afford.

Righto had some time to check up and read the funnies here :) Pleased to see the humour is ripe! I have thanked a few people privately but a public thank you to Carl for hosting the event and tollerating me turning up in a new skool without any grief - you know the truth :) And to Era for erm erm erm hmmm ponder ponder bugger no I cant think of anything apart from "Where, BBQ, the, was" - just because and you know why :)

Great for me to catch up with those I know and see those I dont and get out of work and actually see some cars and real people! Made my jet-lagged  weekend and allowed me to work on the 2 on Sunday :-D With some luck and spare evenings I seriously hope, and would very much enjoy, bringing the 2 to Brooklands, or at least RS. Hell, I stripped another 10a down on Sunday and sat it in the cleaning tank for one of the 3\'s new engines :-)

I need more old skool events and 3-rotors to re-ignite the plans and dust off some parts and move another old skools back into my garage :)

Excellent first old skool event - I *loved* the DN racing video and chatting to the man again. Ive come to the conclusion he has more jam in him than both a fat jammy dodger and I do for finding old skool stock :)

To conclude, excellent and inspiring, at least for me. Until next time.....

Best Wishes

A fantastic day out, I hope this becomes an annual event, if not more often !

Ant, you\'re right about the motivation, I too, am working on my 2, and loads of bits have come off the engine for removal.

Carl

When does everyone want the next one then? Perhaps we could have a cruise too, that way it might encourage everyone (Including me ) to get their old skool running!
What do you think?
