there is a gb over on rx7club.com for 18pce set at about 500 dollars

Pointman

I actually think it will be cheaper to buy from this UK company than the Group Buy from rx7club, plus you know no import tax might be added.

I have used this company before, and have always had quick delivery and advice if needed.

J.j.

I make that £242.80 for the lot?
Was actually waiting for Mazda to come back with a quote for 6 bushes on the back, lucky he was slow coming back with price.    :D
Me and Kerim are going for the full set.
Anyone else?  Maybe we could do a group buy?    :Thumbs-up

Pointman

If we can get a few people involved they may give us some extra discount, certainly worth a try  :D

dre

J.j. - think it works out a bit cheaper than that. I made it £211.84. You only need to choose one of the following:

Either - SPF1741K Superflex Bush(es) Front Lower Arm Rear Bush/ Kit of 2/ Standard Setting (1 only) £34.40 £30.96

Or - SPF1743AK Superflex Bush(es) Front Lower Arm Rear Bush/ Kit of 2/ Increased Caster Setting (1 only) £34.40 £30.96

Presume the increased caster setting will give you better grip for track days. Can someone (vendor) confirm if it\'s ok to run the car on the street like this or will tyre wear become an issue?

Or should we just be sticking with the standard setting ones?

 :cheers

Just spoken to someone who replied: "Increasing the Caster makes the car want to travel in a straight line, this should not alter the wear rate."

I hope that helps.

Nice one dre   :god

How does that affect cornering?   :cheers

J.j.

Just got off the phone with them regarding group buy discounts.
Here it is

For 10 sets or over, there is a 5% discount.
For 15 sets or over, there is a 10% discount.

According to them, it\'d give you better cornering, and it\'s absolutely fine to use those on the street, shouldnt cause any excessive tyre wear either.  ;)

Depends when the group buy would happen though.  Im gonna have a set of coilovers fitted, would idealy like to have bushes replaced at the same time, save doing alignment twice.   :D

What is the negative affect of having more caster tho, does anyone know ?

Im sure mazda didn\'t do it for a reason?

Also will they be better than the std bushes or just cheaper, if they\'ve only just made them how do they know they work well if at all?

These are from a site I have just found if anyone is interested.
goto //www.motorsportworld.co.uk and do a search by car.

Forgot to say: First price is RRP and the second is there price inc vat

Is it just me (!!) or are these 2 lists exactly the same?? Is this correct?

To use the Incresed Caster bushes, firstly you will need "Topmounts" on your suspension which allow you to adjust the camber of the wheels. The bushes alone WILL NOT change the camber.
The negative effect(!) is that the car will always be wanting to go straight, so when you come out of a corner your car will straighten out quicker.
This characteristic would not be good for new drivers, elderly etc.
Manufacturers have to build a car which meets a broad range of requirements, and keep production simple and cheap.

I hope that helps.

I had`nt noticed.

All I did was search by car and entered a `93 RX7 for the FD and an `89 RX7 for the FC.
May be worth confirming with the guy that everything is correct ?
