Hi folks,  Got my 13b stripped down last night, all looks well inside which is a plus..see pics   While the engine is out I will next remove the front suspension/ subframe for rebuilding. I was looking at Super flex bushes just now and the bottom bushes come as standard or increased caster.   Has anyone used these increased caster bushes, are they worth it or would standard be better????????..   can I have your experience on springs and shockers, It all looks standard and very worn, is standard spec good, or upgrade necessary.  :WaveBye   thanks guys.........

HI,
Urethane bushes are the solution. I have ordered mine at Mazdatrix, here is the link:

http://www.mazdatrix.com/h6_86-92.htm

Also replacing sway-bar links with the uprated units is much recommended, as the plastic one are known for braking and splittering.

crickey - the mazdatrix are a good price to be honest

get a shipping price for them - and then see if we can have cheaper postage on the more we order !!

they must only work out at about £60 + shipping !!

i started a thread in the 2nd gen section about some USA ones .. if you can find it :D

I have Tokico blue shocks which are quite popular replacement for stock FC shocks. If you are bit less tight than me you can pay a little extra for adjustable ones. As far as springs go I have a Racing Beat set - this seems to be the only company which makes springs specifically for the cabriolet FC. The cab is obviously heavier and so has different rear springs than the coupe.

I bought these from Mazdatrix who are really competitive on price - you should give them a call. Bear in mind though that those lovely people in customs will slap on an extra bill for export duty of around 20%.

BTW - were you the gent who has been selling rotary spark plugs in Ebay recently?

Hi Thanks for the info, Not really sure if I would go for adjustable ones, Mazda trx seem at the moment to be the place to buy, i will have a goodlook at their web site,,, thanks for that..

Yes I have put two lots of plugs on, they do not seem to have much interest, maybe they are too expensive....... :xconfused

You are welcome to the old struts when I have got sorted, But one front is leaking, others cannot be long for this world, and very rusty.   DId you source your springs from the usa, if so what was the customs situation.???

Did you get rid of the white t11 drop head in the end???

hiya matey

the drop top is still on the drive , being collected the middle of this month :( - i knew i should have asked more for it :( - but i didnt know the demand - you live and learn - but i think Nas will be happy with it

and your struts - if they are leaking then dont worry about it

i wanted to stick my springs on and replace the lot - but you know this from reading my WTD thread !!

i bought them off this very forum - cost me a whole £37 :D :D

they are PI springs , only down side is that they are red :(  -im trying with a black and green theme and this will spoil it !!

Funnily enough I just came across my shocks/springs receipt tonight. It basically goes :

Shocks = £211
Springs = £133
Shipping = £61
Import duty and Vat = £89
Total = £493

I probably could have somehow reduced the bill by not paying tax in the US as I was billed for vat anyway. If only I had a brain...
