Ummmm not sure, trying to remember whats down there on that side.  Did you check when the car was running, i.e still hot or when it had cooled down?

steverx7

when i pulled up and switched off

Best thing to do (what i would do anyway) start her up and get her warm.  Then have a good nose round to see if any pipes have come loose, detached or have been damaged.  May be an idea to jack up the front so you can have a look underneath also.

Was it a dry day? or has it been driven in the wet recently?

steverx7

it was dry yesterday it has been in the wet it drives fine oil press ok water temp ok

Is there any oil leaking from the oil filter? as this would run down the left side of the engine.

steverx7

i dont think so ill have a look never thought of there its just gone in for a bit of bodywork so ill av a look when i get it back later

It could be a number of things but i have not heard of anything specific failing in that area on a regular basis.

Could be the two small \'O\' rings in the oil filter housing, I think they\'re a common problem. Or in that same area, oil pressure sender, or copper crush washers on the banjo fitting.  Good luck, small oil leaks can be a needle in a haystack.
