Hurrah,

My next mod ready to go on:

Thanks to Gary at Rotaryarts for the red couplings, great service.

Spent about 3 hours polishing the blooming thing, got a bit left to do.
Bring on the weekend so I can fit it !!! Hurrah.

(obviously everything on for the pic, when fitted will have all the clamps etc on!!)

I dont have a highly modded car, no plans to have either.

Its got a jap exhaust from cat, silenced decat, k and N panel filter, blitz dump valve, Alu AST tank, Power FC (unmapped) + Commander plus a couple of Blitz gauges.

To go on are the above intercooler, downpipe (bought off Memski cheers).

Other mods planned for the year but more reliability rather than speed. Spent a rather anxious 20 mins in the blazing summer sun queueing for Santa Pod Japfest with the dials pointing the way I definately didnt want them to be so want it to run cooler and safer.

Will post some pics of it fitted. Havent put my car in the members gallery yet until I finish all the mods I am planning.

Cheers for the comments,

Gareth

Get the ECU mapped asap if you want a safe car.

Sorry about the lack of updates on this thread.

Fitted it last weekend and took it for a spin and swore I was hitting 90% injector duty.

Also was getting a weird knocking noise when the fans came on.

So the first issue, went out with a mate (sdminus) and did a number of spirited runs...fastest acceleration I have done in my RX lol but only hit 85%.
Currently looking at fueling upgrades to sort this.

The second issue the knocking was coming from the fan area, so it involved taking out new intercooler and airbox and it was one of the pipes from the AST that had come out of a clip.....fixed this put it all back together and seems fine.

Took the car out yesterday and did a few runs with a few quickish bursts and must say the difference is amazing !!! Drove to a pub for lunch with some mates, left the car for about an hour then came back to it, as you can imagine intake temps were hot as normal 60+ degrees, started the car up, drove down the road and after about a minute the car was back down to normal 35 degrees.....was amazed !! Much faster than the standard car.

Bear in mind that I have the airbox still and the intake is pointing into the engine back so sorting out a cold air feed for that which should help bring them down lower.....hurrah.

So even though I have to sort the fueling out its been a success.

Heres a quick pic unfortunately it was getting dark when I took it. Definitely adds a spot of bling to the engine bay.

Sweet install.

Its even more amazing when you change the Dump pipe exhaust and add cold air.

Slug --> Star

I recon I gained 35-40 hp.
I bought a cheap second hand HKS Double air Cleaner. (  **** by the way )
And a Cheap dump pipe.

Went from stock to drift at will traction loss..
