Been out this weekend in my FD. I\'ve owned it a while and has NEVER been undesealed/waxoyl\'d since being imported. Noticed this evening the remains of salt/grit from the roads on my suspensions so I assume the chassis is covered in salt too.

Will it begin to rust now or does the odd time not really matter? Advice appreciated.

get the jet wash under it and then clean it, wait till its bone dry and then give it a good undersealing. if you take a good look under it make sure you treat any rust spots with rust converter before undersealing!

oh yeh and dont panic too much its not an FC !!!!

the only reason FC\'s rust more is because they are older. When they are as old as the rusty FC\'s, they will be just as rusty as FC\'s are now im sure!

That all depends on how they have been looked after!! I\'m a firm believer thet if you look after it you can almost maintain showroom condition throughout!! My brother was an MOT tester and when a jap motor came in the only thing they faild on was "you need a new front tyre mate!!!!" standing joke in the garage were he was!! look after it and it will serve you well............. bit like women realy!!

Just out of interest:
1) does anyone know any good waxoyling / undersealing places in London pref SE and/or Kent?
2) are there any issues with heat from FDs and underseal etc?
Thanks and Happy New Year
