hey folks... after a few months arguing with my insurers over the value of my car which they wrote off, i\'ve decided i can\'t be rexless any longer and have bought a nice standard yellow 7 which I collect next week.

the first thing i want to do is get some nice aftermarket wheels on which i think is all they need externally, but i\'m not entirely sure what will suit a yellow car best (as i always loved black ones in the past, and was never a fan of yellow but after seeing this one in the flesh i fell in love :D). i\'m thinking something like these for example on ebay in black with polished lip...

...but have not been able to find any photos of a yellow rex with something like these on.

so was wondering if any of you kind chaps have any pictures which might help make up my mind, or if anybody is any good with photoshop could do me a massive favour and use their wizardry to generate something?

Not yellow, but dark wheels on a yellow fd.

Dan Norton

Sorry, i thought these were black....but they are dark blue.

Turned into the worst part of my life....my precious fd3 has gone, but never forgotten....roll on a new life!!!!

Those wheels are lush mate and will definatly go with a yellow car.

Black is a bit harsh [imo] go for a dark gray......... not that Im biased :rollin

Gunmetal Grey wheels really suit yellow cars, I was thinking about it myself when I get a CYM series 3 later this year.

thanks for the pics chaps - i\'m not convinced black wheels are for me now (which is a good thing i realised now rather than after buying some :D) but still not sure what will work best now. i picked the car up ealier this week anyway and here is a photo of "the flying banana" today in stock form...

i will continue my search for the perfect rims though and once i have them will update with more pics :)

Yellow wheels?

Ive seen it done before...might look great with the right wheels.

If not, bronze is a good safe option!

Great looking car mate.

But I\'d avoid black alloys on that colour yellow it\'s too understated. If it was a bit more in your face yellow you might be able to pull it off.

You caught me in a bored mood, so I anthracited your wheels

Juz

thanks :) sort of just looks like that anyway most of the time when the wheels are caked in brake dust :D i still love the look of black wheels with polished lip but whenever i think of them on the car they just look too dark. ahh well i won\'t be purchasing the wheels for another month anyway so plenty of time to decide (and change my mind several times!).

have to say, i love rota circuit 10\'s
