Real sorry for you dude - your attitude towards it is brilliant. Bring on another rex and onto RS3.   :yes   :3gears-lh

I would have gone out in mine yesterday to meet some mates but wans\'t feeling too good (coupled with the fact that my mate has also been a victim bad roads)

Be safe people  :Thumbsup!

I drove past you on my way to Ikea. I\'m waiting for my FD3S to arrive from Japan and all I can say is I totally felt for you. Nice to see you\'re sticking at it!

Sorry to hear about this Laeeq, but as the rest have said at least you are OK. A car is just a pile of metal and plastic when it comes down it and can be replaced, you and your passenger can\'t be. Good to see your sticking with rotaries many people having spent all the time and effort that you\'ve put in would move on to something else, your obviously a true enthusiast. Good luck with the new car hopefully it will turn out even better than the old one.

I know that I will be taking it extra careful in icy and snowy conditions, as I probably would have done exactly the same going into a tunnel not expecting ice to be there.

Hope your new year brings a change of luck.

Argggggggg Laeeq, real sad to read this and just glad your O/K because sadly as your proving you can mend cars far easier  than people.

I really do know how you feel and am pleased your not letting things beat you, I once spent ten months building a new Racecar took it to one shake down practice day then in its first ever race which was in the wet found myself laying second on the last lap with cars queuing behind me so rather than be content with second like a loon I thought I could sweep by off the outside of a bend that the leader was running tight off of, so I had a go and slid straight off into the barrier and took the whole front end of the car completely off and left it needing a rejig !!.

It was two weeks before I could even open the garage door to inspect the mess I had made of my nice new car  :o

Good on ya for not giving up, see you at Brooklands in April with your new ride  :D
All the best Clive

Feel real sorry for you mate.  2 in one year ....    :(

Laeeq

Thanks everyone for your kind words.  I can not describe in words how i have been feeling over the past few days but hey what can i do; sit here and think about it over and over again, and be more missrable or just get out and do something to change my luck?

I will be taking bits off this another car next week and will get back to you all asap.

many thanx

Unlucky mate, try not to let it get to you to much, your still one piece thats all that really matters in the long run, glad to see your sticking with rotaries, just have to make the next one better than the last.

Sorry to hear what has happened to you dude, i couldnt imagine doing that to my car...hope everything goes well getting a new one.

I don\'t mean to sound like an ass, but get yourself some advanced driving lessons/skid pan training in a RWD car.  The way you describe what happens indicates that you over corrected and didnt give it enough throttle to control the speed of the rear end snapping back in, causing it to go the other way...maybe the crash could have been avoided if you were more confident at driving the car sideways...although i have hit black ice before too and its not nice.

Oh no not again! Really sorry to hear about your accident, but glad you came out all in one piece which is the main thing!! As before you had just got everything as you wanted and all setup too, what a pain! :(

Pleased also your sticking to the FD and already in the process of swapping all the bits to another car. I\'ll have to be a vulture and ask about the zorst!! ;) Although I\'m sure you\'ll be keeping it eh! Will chat to you later, take care!
Cheers

Hats off to you Laeeq, if I had crashed my rex once last year I would have been devastated, but to do it twice and still not be put off takes strong character.  :King

Glad you are okay though, and good luck for \'06
