Well it was fun while it lasted but unfortunately the engine was only getting worse and it was time to let my RX7 Type X go before i ended up with a car that needed a re-build.

So i put it on e-bay and stated i would accept a part ex plus cash for another Jap performance car and after being offered a couple of stock Jap cars i ended up doing a deal for a very rare Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R (Manual) and have to say i\'m quite pleased with it..

Its fully set up for track racing and really shifts, its not got the power of my old Rex but its great fun to drive and more of what i\'m looking for in a car. It has a Ralliart 2l V6 MIVEC engine running at 276bhp and hits 60mph in 5.4sec\'s with a top speed of 165mph...

It was all done over in Japan and the reciepts are endless engine and upgrades and Evo parts plus a complete re-spray in a very nice Evo blue/lilac pearl....

Its a shame the Rex started getting tired but at least i can say i had the best rwd Jap car ever built, it was an absolute dream car and i loved driving it.....

Took an fto in px with my old rx...was a nice car.... had to fairly rev it..which isnt really my thing..but nice cars overall

RE-SPRAYED IN EVO BLUE PEARL (Deep Blue With A Lilac Pearl)

All i need now is a MIVEC Controller...

An FTO 6a12 Mivec engine puts out 200bhp as standard and wouldn\'t produce that kind of power without FI or Nos. Sorry to douse your flames chap :chat

With the mods I can see, you\'ll be lucky to see 210bhp.

NOI of course chap , just putting you straight (I used to be on FTO Owners Club committee and know my FTO\'s )

Tis a decent looking car though mate, obviously had a lot of work and care spent on it, like the interior dash panels painted the same colour as the car.

Not keen on the stickers down the side though.

Exhaust looks in a weird place, like its sitting underneath the rear bumper.

Cheers buddy, I\'ll be removing the graphics when i get it re-sprayed. Gunna try and make the lilac more of a flip instead of a pearl.
The exhaust is originally on the other side it runs down the passenger side then comes across the car and out the drivers side, but has been replaced for a straight through pipe instead...
