If it makes sense what are the 2 little round lights everyone seems to have in the main part of the grill bit, where the number plates often are? Are they fog lights or sumin we have to have in UK  ?
In a paranoid liking of keeping this space for air flow whats the crack with having these on the the far sides?
Hey they say pictures speak louder than words [beware Si was never any good at art ;)]

They are fog lights.  I have had one without fog lights though, and you dont really gain any space for airflow.

The oil coolers are indeed in the bit where you wanted to move them, but they are fine where they are.

Im just curious as to why a car from Japan has front fogs when apparently they dont get fog which is why we have to fit rear fog lights!

they might be driving lights (different beam pattern) but judging by the size of them they will be just about useless anyway as the main factor in how much light you can throw on the road is the reflector and lense.( I have a set of hella rallye 3000\'s on the front of my rally car and they are amazing due to the 8" dia reflector and lense)

These tiny lights like you see stuck on the front of nova\'s corsa\'s saxo\'s etc. are more for pose factor than actually being able to see. (they seem to feel the need to have the bloody things on all the time too!!)

So there is no problem in ripping them out if you want, they serve no legal purpose (only require a rear fog, centrally mounted or on the offside)

edit they must be fogs as they are on with the sidelights edit

Yeah I did think they were driving lamps, but then the switch has the fog lamp sign on it :D

Was going to use driving lamps as an excuse for using them, but I dont as Im sure I can feel a loss in power when I turn them on.  The let a little more light out to the sides, but arnt a great use.

So is it something which will get fitted when mine arrives or does the fact they aint on no pix of car in Japan mean i wont have them full stop!!!?

if they aren\'t on the car in japan they won\'t be fitted for the SVA as they are not required by law

Yeah if they arnt there then they wont be on your car.  If you really want a set sometimes there are a few on ebay, but as I said they are not great and I dont really use them.

I had a look at a pic of my old car (without fogs) to compare.

Somehow this looks cooler than my current one even though I know it wasnt.  Miss it!
