Is it worth me selling my Defi Control Box?

My car has not had the MPH conversion, instead I tell the speed by a Defi gauge on the dash.  It tells me the MPH and also has the ability to tell you water temp etc. It also comes with a Defi control box.

When my car goes to Pip im intending to have the MPH conversion done so dont really need this.

So is it worth selling?  Are they worth much 2nd hand?  Any money towards my rebuild etc will come in handy.  If its not worth much I might see if I can get the Water Temp connections so I can use that instead of the MPH.

Take a look on ebay, some of the DEFI gear is getting good money!!

Assuming its the version 2 control box - they are only 70 quid new - so I dont imagine youd get that much for a used one. Also, all the sensors plug into the control box and then one wire daisy chains to all the gauges - so how will the other gauge be driven if you flog the control box?

Im not sure, it would have been fitted about 18 months ago I should think (before I bought the car)

I would sell the MPH / Water Temp gauge thing  as well.  As in the picture above.

~Ahhh, sorry - mis-read your first post mate. I *think* its a V2 control box? havent seen one for a while but it doesnt remind me of the V1 I used to have in my car...

Well just checked the Defi website and the version II only went on sale August this year apparently Bugger, unfortunately I just got a water temp gauge from ebay and it needs the version II.

no probs, to be honest now ive been looking about I may well keep it.  I was thinking about getting a Water Temp gauge etc myself.  But all I need is the sensors and I can disply this on my Defi display, along with a host of other readings.  I think I have found a supplier of the sensor kits in the US, only $88!  Give me the opp to add more on when required    Quote cool this bit of kit once you read up about it   :cool

Yep, this is why I decided on Defi Would love the dashboard that\'s in that Scoot RX7 that was in JTuner a couple of issues back!

I need the control unit and a boost gauge now as well as probably a sensor....oh yeah just checked yours does look like a Control Unit II, I was confused as the new one is a Control Unit II Version 2! Too many twos.

It looks like a Defi Control Unit II but in black rather than the usual grey.  Small photo of one here:
