I have just had a member on the phone who has been offered a set of Gen 3 8x16 wheels with 215/50  tyres fitted.

From memory the stud pattern is the same but has anyone here actually fitted these to a Gen2 ?

they WILL fit - but usually need a spacer on the front as they catch

the back should fit just fine

The Offset is wrong...
Fits and goes on the rears fine but are lost inside the arches.
The front won\'t go on at all, the tyre hits the struts(even with coilovers).
You will need at least a 30mm spacer to get it to work on the front.

IMO it\'s not worth the hassel or look, even if the 3rd gen wheels were free!

They fit on the rear not sure about the front. Would expect spacers needed

Am running a set of 8.5" wide fronts, 42 et and they fit with a 5 mm spacer on standard struts.
