Well after reading past posts on here (twice) about fuel pumps and asking folk, i was decided on going for the bosch 044 fuel pump, which i will probably end up getting from reworx along with some other bits and bobs. But i thought i would check out ebay as i love a bargain, and there was a guy selling one for £99 with the serial number of 0580254044, so i assumed this was the 044, i asked the question wether this would be a straight swap with my standard in tank pump just to double check before buying, and he replied that it wouldnt, its an external pump :Confused3 i just dont know now, and it was the 200l/h aswell, well jeeeez louise i said to myself :Confused3

Buy a small surge tank and mount it in your boot. You just need to run the intank pump to the surge tank then draw from that for the 044 to supply the fuel rails. Running a similar system myself but with twin 040 pumps.

Thanks for the reply Kevin mate, but it sounds abit overkill for my needs. I could have sworn that the 044 was alright for intank. I didnt want any of that external tank and swirl pot in the boot really!! As it would leave no space for all the bottles of lambrini and the tent needed for Rotorstock :Party  :Party  :yes

you could use it in tank but but it is not designed to and will not work well unless you have lots of fuel in your tank.

The 040 will go in tank but beware of going low on fuel.  This was good for 350 bhp at the rear wheels on my FC, could have done more with slightly higher fuel pressure.  A skyline will go straight in tank and flows loads.  more money though.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Might be worth a call to some of the vendors see if anyone has a used 20b fuel pump kicking about. As tony said the 040 is a pretty good pump and they do it in two versions in tank and the external ones i use.

That\'s a big tank if a skyline can drive straight in! I have an 044 pump in tank on my 1st gen.It needs to be in a container constantly supplied with fuel,or never go below 1/2 tank full.
