Guys,

Need some advice from yous,

Fitting a Greddy SMIC after chrimbo. Have heard that the standard injectors arent up to running with this. Is this correct? If I do get bigger injectors will I have to get the ecu remaped ? Is it worth changing fuel pump also ?

After spending a day out with a couple of Skyline chaps on a trackday and they have one planned at Snetterton next year I want to take mine on there too.
So, what other mods shall I do, just so I can set myself a budget next year ? I am planning on water injection but the day is planned for Feb so presumably shouldnt need to worry too much then.

What about an uprated radiator ? Are these worth having and doing ? Has anyone got one fitted with a Greddy SMIC intercooler ? Will it be a tight squeeze ?

Oh and I am running on base map Apexi power fc, other mods are k and n panel filter, blitz dump valve, silenced decat, performance exhaust (unknown).

Just looking for an excuse to get some shiny bits lol !!!

Cheers for any advice,
Gareth

Gareth.

You dont need to up the injectors if you stay at stock boost. I would advise a mapping session tho as the base map will not be tuned for your car.

What are your plans for the car. If you wana run more boost then pump, injectors, air filter blah blah. The water injection will only make the car slower if you dont map for it. THen its a question of the igniton and weather the spark will maintain with water. If you decide to up the boost you WILL need a boost controller

Stock rads are pretty good.

p.s You have asked this question about fueling many times before both on the forum and off. The answer doesnt change. Check your duty cycle and get a re map.

Cheers for the comments Scott,

Not looking for power from it, just wanna stop it running so darned hot in the summer or on the track.

With the water injection what other mods should I be planning then ? Have you uprated your ignition to work with your water injection ?

I suspected mapping would be needed soon, who are you recommending in our neck of the woods ?

You have mail ( soon )

You might want to get hold of a set of \'racy\' (technical term!!) pads, most track days really kill brakes - check your discs as well :)

If you decide to go for bigger injectors then a remap is a must to get the best out of them, running a bigger intercooler / rad will not require a remap but to get the best out of the car it is advisable to get the car tuned to run safey and at the best boost setting for your mods.  :)
