Advice needed

I have just taken delivery of the Apexi active tail silencer and i have a question.  My car is running a rich map and at low revs pops and bangs a lot, will the silencer restrict the amount it does this? and will it have an effect on the engine?

Any thoughts would be great.

Doubt it, what about leaning out the bottom end of the map?

can i ask where did u get the active rear silencer..is this the bung thing that quitens down the apexi mine even with feed mid pipe is still too noisy for me

Yes it is, not sure how well it works yet as i need to make some alterations for it to fit properly.

I got mine from http://www.takakaira.co.jp/ but i think you can also get them from newera.

Right got this fitted now, bit of hassle.  Its designed for a 4.5 inch pipe but my exhaust has a 5 inch pipe....so my dad attached some extra metalwork to make it fit.  Its a right squeeze and theres no easy way of getting it out but the results are amazing.  It is nice and quiet on tickover and it muffles all the popping but still lets the excess gases out.  I haven\'t been able to give it a good thrashing so i am not sure if it affects power too much.  Makes town driving much more pleasing, although there was a nova in front of me with a louder exhaust :rolleyes:
