Hoping someone can give me some good news here. Whilst checkin my coolant levels i took off the oil cap only to discover a sort of white colour residue not a loy just a small amount around the lip. What does this mean? Is it goin to blow up, I hope not as I\'m just gettin used to driving it. Everything seems fine it appears to runnin perfectly. The only problem I had was I flooded last week like a fool. Please help......Very worried:( :(

that sounds fairly normal, water vapour condenses in the filler neck and makes the white residue. Best keep an eye on water levels to be safe though

Jay, its a time of year thing! When the weather gets colder, the condensation gets more. It builds up on the oil filler cap.

Best bet is to take the car for a serious blatt and see what its like after that. I am sure that you will find that it has cleared a fiar amount.
