Registering Rx7 Type R - Q\'s

Went along to DVLA this morning to register my Rex but because my insurance does not start until 8th November I can not register it until 2 days befor hand which I was a bit annoyed about but should have known really :rolleyes:

So does anyone know how long it takes for the plate details to come through cos I was hopeing to use it on the 8th November to go to Nottingham.

Would it be illegal if it had no plates on it? I\'m guessing it would be :confused:

do I need anything else other than -

V55/5
MOT Cert
Certificate of De-Registration from Japan
Certificate to show it\'s been imported with Customs  details etc

Have a set of \'show plates\' made in a legal style by somewhere like Xtreme or Ripspeed or RTec.

I was told it would take 3 working days for my registration details to come through the post, but it only took a couple of days in the end.
