Brian the AutoSolo course was really narrow and tight. Add the rain, and it wasnt really suited to my car. I had a lot of fun of course, but not a good result!

I met 2 Aussies who arrived in a Gen2 that they are going to rally. Plus one of them has an RX-2 that will be coming over one day. I told him ( I forgot their names now) about this fourm so i hope they logon soon.

I think they have joined FDMC.

Cool we should all do a track day!!

Ive done one before in the old girl, and I am doing Bands hatch on the
2 December. £80 for the morning and £80 for the after noon. 8 hours in toltal I think. Not bad.

None stop beeper and boating action last time I went.lol

Things are moving along nicely.
The car has now been striped down to nearly a bare shell from the screen back to the rear bumper.
A lot of time has been spent removing all of Mazda,s finest wiring to those silly things that I don\'t need.
However somewhere in there, some little person has changed the wiring colours and when the cutters got cutting the earth was severed. Upon testing the brakes we had our own xmas tree going on back there.
Soon sorted that.
The doors have been finished and are to be painted. They now wheigh 11.5kg.
I tried to get them lighter but they would flex to much.
A fibreglass bonnet is being made when I get back from NZ so that will also help the weight.
Have a good Xmas all and a top new year. :guinness  :cheers

Just because I am out of the country I dosn\'t mean that development stops.
We now have a pair of adj top mounts and a spare set of rose jointed bottom arms.
A new 50mm carb to go on as well.
The silly thing is that they are alll in the UK waiting my arrival.
IT is hot hot hot here and Kuala Lumpur was even hotter. :flamed

Hi Brian, I have taken a mould from my 1978/9 RX7 bonnet and made a pre-preg fibreglass item with phenolic honeycomb core. Its very light and rigid too. You are more than welcome to borrow the mould if you want. I also have headlight cover moulds. Do you know where I can get a formed perspex rear tailgate window as the glass item is very heavy ?  cheers \'Gaylord\'

Thanks for the offer i will get in touch properly in the new year when we get back to the UK from NZ.
I was going to try and form my own rear perspex window and if I cant quite get it right I will use some subtle alloy bracing. Its all in my head how it will work so I will give it a go and let you know.
