Odd,

I\'ve got at least 8 12A plates in the garage, all re-useable.

Oops no, 10, forgot about the 2 in my 13B

Re what! You would build a Triple out of Used parts?

Ok, This is how i see it, i want the best Compresion/Power i can, there for as i am building it for Power i only want to Use new Parts, if i was to build a 12a version i think i would have serious problems finding new Plates?

There are plenty of the 12A versions about but i am looking to the Future, What if i Blow this thing to bits in 2 years? will i be able to source parts?

I dont find that Odd.

Bugger!!!! I was told By Mazda they where stoping production.

I suposes it was about two years ago now when Plates where an Issue but now things have moved on i\'ve made my Choice.

Out of intrest why do you use 2x 12A plates in a 13b?

I am not trying to Flame anyone so could you cut back on the Sarcasm Bill.

I\'m not being sarcastic, merely pointing out facts. With iron castings I would personally prefer one that was \'conditioned\' and then lapped back down. Re-nitriding is also possible if you lap them a lot.

I use 12A plates in a 13B because I have a pre-85 engine, which is interchangable.

But Yup, I would  happily build a triple out of used parts. BMW used to make their turbo F1 engines out of blocks that had done over 100k
