I Have Bought A Gen 3 And The Rear Spoiler Is Missing , The Car Feels Back End Twitchy At Speed.  Is This Due To The Spoiler Missing Causing Downforce Issues.

Thanks  Crispyj

I wouldn\'t have thought so unless you are driving above 130mph.

unlikely,  more likely due to the bushes being worn out.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Dead dampers at the rear will also exhibit this kind of feeling - very unsteady, worse the quicker you go.

Replaced mine and it made the world of difference.

Low tread on the back tyres can also be a cause. Or deflate the rears a little.

These cars should drive arrow straight at VERY high speeds, like you were doing 50mph in yer Fiesta.

Have a good shake around the suspension and then get a four wheel geometry check done, also in the long run it will pay for itself by increasing tyre wear.

If its still doing it after the above, put a spoiler back on as god intended

Has it been lowered? Could be the back lower than the front causing lift...

Laser alignment will help alot, they\'d also be able to check for worn bushes and suspension probs. Of course I\'d recommend a HUGE rear GT wing owning one myself!

It is lowered with Apexi adjustables all round.  The tyres are new size  265/40/17 on the rear  235/45/17 on the front.  I will get it allignment checked on tuesday.

Thanks

Sy.

spoiler will make no difference .. as i had a gt spoiler and did 140 mph (on privet road) and took if off and did 152mph and no difference in stickability.

I had this problem after new Koni shocks were fitted and the mix of tyres was different front to back.

Went to Elite in Essex for 4 wheel laser alignment and boy what a difference.
