Just to compare really, personally I think his is one of the best out there. Never seem to be able to find any pics of it though. Also what arethose wheels he has now?

Mate,

I couldnt agree more. Its a very clean looking RX7 that has modifications that dont spoil or change the overall look and shape of the Rex. Must admit that I am considering bodymods for mine and am thinking of going a similar route to Miguels.

Anyway here are some pics that were on another thread on here.

Not sure of wheels could be Mazdaspeed ones but dont quote me. The gold with silver lip looks awesome on a black Rex. Proabably the reason why I like the Gram Lights 57 Pros !!

I am sure migs would post but he is so busy.

So here is a couple I took in Japan

The Car has changed a bit since I was last in Japan.
New Single and Red Bride Seats.

Wheels are 17" Mazdaspeed MS01 with Semi Slicks,.... Very Grippy indeeed
I think he has sold the BBS now.

His AE86 is getting all his attention..

Ahh the cool Miguel FD! Was one of my first inspirations when changing my FD. I\'d love to go for a drive on the Wangan...

Don\'t forget his nice front and rear Brembo additions Rextreme.. liking the new avatar too, damn good idea that! You made any progress with your Amemiya purchase? (Sorry for the little hijack here Jay)! ;)
Cheers

Ben,

Wangan at 300kph is scary.. but cool
An experience all must try.
Need more than a twin turbo Fd though.

I should add the latest transformation which is of course the conversion of my FD into a bunch of Cash!!! HAHA

Sold it ages ago as was costing too much and nowhere to really use it properly.

The guy who bought it, told me he has added a Cwest rear bar custom into the wide body..
I dont really want to see it though....

I am saving to move back to Japan. But we will see what happens.

Kieron

Lovely car but I don\'t like the lights  :xconfused

Buy the newera DVDs, lots of coverage of the car!

That is a cool AV RE-EXTRAME, I\'d love to move to Japan, hope to go on a holiday there in January, around the 15th  :p

Cheers fellas  :)  :)  - Always nice to know the car\'s admired despite being half way aroudn the world - though that\'s where the majority of your\'s came from too!  :cool

My rex is pretty much completed... There\'s not much more I want to do to it as I\'ll start going too far otherwise. It\'s excessive enough for road use - but docile, easy and comfortable in Tokyo traffic, which is what I wanted from the beginning...

As Russ says, my thoughts are on the build of my daily use drift Corolla AE86, which is coming along slowly, but I\'m having fun making it much more than just a normal drift car... Already it\'s got more power than most of the D1 AE86\'s, but it\'s not as focussed, as I like A/C, mint condition, etc.

I\'ve got to take a few pics of the Rex\'s interior for J-Tuner\'s project section, so I\'ll post up some in a few days. Looks cool with the Bride seats and I won\'t have to hold onto the handbrake at Tsukuba when cornering hard - just to stop myself sliding sideways out of the seat (Looked funny in the videos, as if I was about to pull the handbrake at each corner!)

Keiron, the pic doesn\'t do the headlights much justice, mate.
It\'s a Knight Sports 4 Beam conversion with HID for main beam....

Those driving lights in front of each (enlarged) oil cooler are HID too & illuminate seriously enough ... Also looks very cool in the rear view mirror with a black silhouette and 2 very bright small lights and that bonnet... people don\'t know what it is at first...

So I use the main headlights at night only if driving very quick. Otherwise they just stay closed.

Anyways, here\'s a few more pics. The first one\'s quite old and shows the car with the FEED front bumper I used to have. The rest are fairly recent. 2nd pic shows the car with the Knight Sports 480SS turbo conversion, though you can\'t see it as it\'s buried under the air pump. Although the external wastegate is routed back into the exhaust it\'s still audiable through the air filter, which is kinda nice..yet not OTT.

The bespoke Bilstein coilovers and Brembo brakes are the mods that have made the biggest difference to the car in it\'s performance and drivability.

Now we\'re working on the full race RX-7 project - in the UK. That\'ll be a no holds barred track attack car - very lightweight. Should be ready in 2006...

And another from how it was before.... I definitely prefer it with the original 1999 front end & carbon splitter... ABS plastic = No stone chips suffered at high speeds  :p

Those I LOVE, I was talking about the \'lexus\' rears  :spank

That exhaust look slike its LOUD LOL, got a sound file or video clip?  :god

Jake

The Rex is still looking great Miguel.  Have you managed to sort out the turbo issues and get back to Tsukuba?

Newera

Yeah, the rex rear lights.... You either love \'em or hate \'em. I find they look like 2 sets of red devil eyes at night... very mean :D ...so I like \'em.

Turbo n\' all are sorted I think - as Knight Sports have since fitted an oil mist seperator tank and a special plate to catch any oil mist...

No sound files, or video clips - but you can hear it on Fast East & Extreme DVD\'s :)

What was the issue in the end?  I know you had an oil catch tank fitted but the problem still occurred, just curious as to what was actually going on.

Miguel,

I agree, I love the 99 spec front and am at present saving up for one but first service, MOT and insurance are due next month and also the dreaded C word is looming soon. 2 months someone said to me today !!

Will see what I can arrange next year. Just out of interest are you able to get them and how much would they be ? Bought the replacement ashtray from you guys and was very impressed with the service.

Car looks ace, damn I need to mod mine more !!

Dear Father Christmas........

I know what you mean mate, I sometimes like \'em, sometimes hate \'em. Can\'t quite decide. On your car they give it that extra clean look. Don\'t think they would look good on mine.
Cheers,
Juri

Hi Gareth - Glad to hear you were pleased with the service.

We supply OEM front bumpers complete with splitter and indicator clusters. Used is usually best as it\'s much lower priced that way. Our workshop just outside Brighton can also paint and fit them to exact match. A customer had this on his RX-7 (Supplied by us) and loves the way it transformed the front of his 1995 model.

As a side note, the 1999 splitter also fits the earlier model\'s original front bumpers - quite a nice addition together with the 1999 style front indicators we do for earlier models. Inexpensive too! Details on //www.neweraparts.com

Cheers :D
