Car went off to the body shop today, but I thought I would have a go at taking off the mirrors myself.

After taking off the door skins and speakers I put my arm up inside the door to try and remove the bolts, I was there for about half an hour, swearing thinking what a stupid design.

Then the postman walks up the drive,

he says to me       "working on it again"

to which I reply     "Yes, stupid design how the hell is anyone supposed to get their arm up there, god this car is hard work"

to which the postman goes

" You would of thought they would of put the mirrors on a top spring so you get at the screws from the top of the mirrors instead of trying to work your arm inside that space"

At that point I moved the mirrors to one side to reveal two shiny screws to take the mirrors off, The postman just looked at me as if i was a right knob!

How much of a wally did I feel, girlfriend just laughed her head off! :p

Don\'t feel bad about the mirror.
Everyone has to learn,no one know\'s it all about anything, and now you do know.I expect that many other members NOW know about how to take off the mirror too because of your post.
