Hi Folks,

Feel a bit ashamed asking this one, but here goes...

Just took delivery of my Amemiya light cover / spolier for Japan.  I\'ve had a little mess on and the thing looks like it wont stretch to fit directly over my existing rear lights and third brake light garnish.  I dont want to force it as there is a little crack in the middle which can only get worse.

Does anyone with a cover fitted know the score?  Should I just apply more pressure, or is there a requrement to strip the original centre garnish?

Thanks in advance
Chris

ps i\'ll try to stick to actual "technical" questions from now on!!! :rollin

Chris, have you tried taking the rear lights out and placing them in the cover....then put the whole lot back in one go??

Maybe worth a go.

Dont think that will work mate, as you need to slide the end parts in separatley as the slide in from the side of the car inwards. It would be impossible to do this if they were all in one unit...

Chris, shove it on, crack it, fill the crack, paint the car! Its easy!  :D  ;)

Right lads!,

Got to the bottom of it last night, just pushed it on and hoped for the best, it gave enough and clipped over! :)

The only prob is that it needs a little work to get the cover to sit equally over both lights and centre garnish!  Hate to see what fitment would be like on a copy cover!

I will await the new paint job before fitting with body tape, and post some pics!

Cheers
Chris :)
