Do any of you guys know where i can get repair panels for my T2 Vert?

I am in the prosses of rebuilding it and fitting a kit etc, problem is being a Vert the hole inner Sill section and the back of the car has gone!! and i don\'t mean just stick a patch on it sort of rust!! I mean cut the outer sill and lower quater off it and fit a new inner sill and inner rear arch.

I will have to get some pics of this, You won\'t belive how it passed an MOT last year. But i have made it worse by proding it with a screw driver.

If all fails i will get a pall who restors Classic cars for a living to make me a sill and lower 1/4 and i\'ll make the inner (looks easy enough) then i\'ll stick it all together. I love a project :)

Just a tip to anyone that is thinking of buying one!!! make sure the Hood drains are clean and going out under the floor.

I have to say i\'m suprised becouse it looked sound, mainly becouse it had been Undersealed and the water that was inside the box sections and such had no where to go, SO it rotted the metal away leaving a nice looking layer of Underseal. So as soon as i saw the state of the back of the sill i had it up on the ramp and i spent an hour with a screw driver trying to find some more to no avail.

SO somone PLEASE!! tell me that somone make repair sections or this is going to become a pain in the rear!!

I\'m not aware of anybody in the UK who makes panels for the FC, you may have more luck looking at the US or AUS.

you can buy em from mazda directly

might take a few days or so to get them you can buy that whole back section for not much,

maybe you could cut one off another dead mazda? im going to look at one on the weekend so i could have a buitchers if the rear panels are ok?

I spoke to Mazda today about buying two complete Quater panels, they said IF!!! they could find one for me it would be Expencive (£300 was mentioned each)

I did think about scraping my Vert shell and putting it all into a Coupe or just moving over to the Dark side and sorting an FD.

I could of course cut the outer off and then repair the inner and replace it? but there is one hole in the outer sill and the seam round the arch is going so that may be defeating the object.

I did think about buying a cheap NA of E-Bay for peanuts and cutting it up? but i don\'t think i could distroy a Rx7 and live with it.

Yep, they sure do rust. makes it worse every time it rains the drin pipes fill the sills up with water :(

As for Panels i\'ve had two wheather strips and a set of roof seals on order for over a month now so when he the guy at Mazda tells me (who\'s in the trade too) he may not be able to get them i\'ll be looking in months!! so i\'ll shop about first. ;)
