It don\'t look to bad but from my experiance you would still be best looking for a shell mate. The main reason being the lack of new 1/4 panels available through Mazda.

Looking at the Picture the back corner doesn\'t look bad but the thing that would worrie me is the crease over the Wheel i would go look inside for damage to the floor or inner panel? It looks like the impact has broke its back. but having said that pull your carpets etc up and have a good look also check the other side for 1/4 distorsion. I have learnt from the past that a picture of a damaged car can be made to look alot worse even if not done delibratly.

Does the tail gate gap still look about right?

I agree with Grizzly :)
When I mangked my first EGi, I kept it in the Garden for 6 months until I found another one, then swapped all the gear over, then broke up the egi and scraped the slightly dented bodyshell.

Quote from: one2watch....trouble with the TII is its such a big unwieldy car to be throwing around.

Leo/....dont part the car.....(know i will get flame now..haha) it will cost you even more to build the car like ur spec!!...just buy a T2 with a knackered...see them go for around 500-600 then just swap everything to that......

problem is where do i look for a t2 with dead engine, haven\'t seen any, and i think it will be too much work swapping everything over???

Grizzly

Well the thing is look at it this way, Buy a £600-800 running t2 then take the engine,Seats suspension off it and sell them on, now you are left with a Shell that stands you alot less (if you play your cards right).

Basicly it comes down to too things, A. Do you have some where out of the way to keep the damaged car while you get another shell/Save. B. Do you want the Agrovation? Basicly do you think it would be less work/Money stripping your car for bits and selling it starting with a new Slate then building another one at a later date?

grinder

i would go with the parts swapping idea

but you need

a : lots of space
b : lots of time

There is the other way of looking at it, Not too long ago FC3sLeo was thinking of Braking it anyway and figured the parts he had on the car where worth quite alot of money anyway. So if he did strip it there isn\'t alot that would have been damaged in the Crash?

Shell
Rear Suspension/Strut
Bumpers,lights and small stuff

So the easy option would be to sell up and move on which looking at the responce from the Title of the thread would make alot of people happy. But you may find your self out of pocket when your building a new car or left with parts that you struggle to sell?

If you are struggling for space why not strip all the good bits of the car then bin it, Buy another one in the near future and use them on that?

Brett

I\'ve done the swapping thing, If I were you I\'d get yours stripped of the parts you need to put on the new car and then get rid of the rest one way or another.  Then spend the next few months trawling the small adds and calling up the Specialists to see if they have anything that a customer has abandoned/ cant afford to get rebuilt.

Last time I saw a bored out rotary it had been bored by the apex seals and had no compression.  Some of the Ebay adverts are pure magic though. :D :rollin
