Hi Guys

My Rx7 Type R has been off the road for about 3 months due to a leak in the petrol tank i have only heard it running for about a minute (when i picked it up) then i crashed it and cracked the fuel tank. So i finally got a new fuel tank today just fitted it, it starts up fine just when i rev it and let go the idle speed seems to be really low and sounds like it\'s struggling to keep going (could this be due to it been stood for a while) also when i just drove it, it got to around 4500rpm and sort of jerked then picked up again (is this normal) or am i experiancing something BAD!!!

Also as i mentioned the idle speed the oil pressure seems to be really low like only about 2mm on the gauge above 0 can this be adjusted or am i well and truly shag*ed

Wouldn\'t worry too much about the oil pressure readings, the oil pressure gauge is notoriously bad at being an oil pressure gauge.  They usually only work when the engine\'s cold, as it heats up the readings get worse.

Anyway, in relation to the idle, do you have an aftermarket ECU or the stock one?  If it\'s an aftermarket one, it may well have had a conservative fuel map to get it through emissions, just a thought.  Either way, probably best getting it checked by one of the specialist vendors listed above.

It is a completley standard ECU mate the car is otherwise completley standard other than a Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust and HKS BOV it\'s kind of worrying me as i don\'t really know a lot about these cars i know roughly ya know (the basics) but other than that i\'m stuffed.

Couldn\'t be the engine on it\'s way could it its only done 45k
