Ok fair enough, i thought i\'d ask cos i thought it was forum thing not a club thing.
If i had a RX7 i wouldnt think twice about joining the club ...but until i get one ( which hopefully will be sooner rather than later ) i\'ll hold off.

Quote from: nikpJust bought the engine rebuild dvd from rotary aviation (Not that i need to rebuild my 13b yet! :)) and have started watching it - I must say it appears to be an excellent buy, with details on all tolerances to measure. They show you everything you need to know when dismantling, and i\'m sure everything you need to know when re-assembling too (Haven\'t got that far yet!). An excellent resource for any home 13b engine builder!

Which did you buy Overhauling Mazda\'s 13B Rotary Engine 2nd Edition or
remove and replace ?

I gave you my thoughts NOT the clubs I imagine if there were a group but it\'ll be for anyone.

Don\'t want to come across funny, but i think this back up idea mate is a bad one...  Basically you\'ll be ripping off rotary aviation.  They are a good company and i think most people will agree that they offer a great service, and i think that applies to all/most of the companies on here. Basically you\'ll be damaging the RX7 vendors/business\'s, and i know that this club would not want a part in that  (seen that the mastermind/God behind the mazdarotary club runs one of these vendors).   Sorry if this seems harsh but it\'s probably what most people on here think.

I agree. The guys that did this video has done a good job, and I think he deserves the credit, including the royalties. Rotary Aviation themselves do provide very good customer service. I forget the womans name know but she was quick to reply to my queries via e-mail.

If anyone is interested I have a video cassette variant of this video. I bought it in error and then bought the DVD version. I can\'t actually watch the video because it\'s in the American format - PAL or NTSomethingorother - whichever it is I can\'t watch it. So if anyone wants it I\'ll happily send it to them for free.

I didnt mean to sound funny about it John, i just thought that group buys might have been for the forum users, i didnt know it was members only and if it pushes people to become full members then all the better for MRC.

is it really worth doing a group buy?  you will probably only save a couple of pound

Laura is the girl at rotary aviation and is very good with replying to emails, spoke to her only this morning reguarding a rebuild kit.

i dont think being in this group buy is exactly going to tip the balance on people joining, as the saving is only going to be minimal

laura just told me that they have a number in stock and have just taken delivery of the removal and refitting DVD which is not advertised on the website yet.  it is really good i have it on vhs
