Hi all, im toying with the idea of getting some porting work carred out for BIG BHP, but not sure if its the right way to go?

I had it rebuilt in 2003 with 3mm apex seals and  some minor porting done (not sure to the extent due to rotechnics losing my paper work). At present its only covered around 15k since the rebuild.

At the moment its got fitted;

GT35/40 turbo
044 fuel pump
uprated fuel regulator
1600c secondary injectors
blitz induction air filter
WGT large semi mounted intercooler
WGT cat replacment pipe
HKS cat back
HKS boost controller
Apexi power FC ECU

(Its been mapped at the moment very conservatively and made 313BHP on the rollers at R2).

As i said above im not sure if this is the right way to go or is it going to be cost affective due to obvious reasons, but im yearning for MORE POWER! Im also inconjuction with the possible porting work thinking about water injection, front mount intecooler/charge cooler.

So my Q is this what kind of ££££ am i looking at just to have it ported and what type of porting should i go for if i do go that way? (STREET PORT, EXTENDED PORT, HALF BRIDGE, FULL BRIDGE PORT, ETC....)?

Thats a lovely engine bay. I\'d say that your best bet is to invest in some water injection first. What kind of temps are you running with the smic ??

Medium streetport is all you\'ll need at the most with a gt35.What turbine housing size do you have?
Definately want it mate but the dog has just died so will be getting the missus a new dog for christmas....
Sounds like a good deal but will have to ask the dragon first.....  :flamed  :spank

before you go the cost of engine out stripped, ported and back in, at what I would guess at £1000/1500 why not fit water injection and get it mapped, my TO4E made 365 at wheels and was a much smaller turbo, also by having it mapped your graph will show you where the power starts to die which is a good indication of how your car was ported. You have the expence of mapping anyway if you do strip down but with Rotechniks conservitive map and that turbo on a newish engine you maybe better off, for the sake of a aggresive map and tweek you easily have your self another 50 or more bhp. Keep you happy for a while.

Thinking of useing water injection, front mount and turning the boost up thanks for the response guys. Looking forward to putting a time in on the strip once its finished!

Any body know how much im looking at for a 3 bar map sensor?
