advice needed!

been looking on here for a while ,now have my first post!

Looking to buy a rx7,have put a deposit on a nice one ,but need some advice?

the car has apexi exhaust,no cat ,straight through and a blitz filter .
the car goes like a rocket, but when changing gear or slowing down in gear it back fires like mad(really loud!!) is this kind of thing normal or not??

Has the car a boost gauge if so and your not seeing any more that 1 bar boost l wouldn\'t worry too much as it\'s just burning off a bit of unburnt fuel that\'s hanging about as excess fuel in a rotary tends to be pretty safe.

its has a gauge and it was peaking at 0.7 then drops slightly
